On behalf of the Office of the Provost, The Center is responsible for administering SPU’s internal faculty research & scholarship grants program.
Faculty Research & Scholarship Grants (FRSGs) are awarded each spring by the Office of the Provost to support original scholarship by faculty (including programs of research that focus on the scholarship of discovery, teaching and learning, application, and / or synthesis).
FRSG funds can be used for direct research expenses, subvention costs, course release time, or a summer stipend which can help you complete your scholarship project.
Members of the Faculty Development Committee review and recommend internal grant funding while CSFD administers the grants.
The majority of funds will be allocated to pre-tenured, tenure-track faculty while senior faculty will be eligible for funding that is set aside specifically for post-tenure faculty. Contact Assistant Provost Margaret Brown (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions regarding SPU Faculty Research & Scholarship Grants.
The 2018-2019 FRSG applications are now available!
Applications are due by 5pm on March 9th.
