Dr. Aaberg came to Seattle Pacific University after extensive clinical practice as a nurse. She has always worked with pregnant women in some way, mostly in hospitals as a Labor and Delivery nurse, but also in clinic and home care settings. As a bedside nurse she had the opportunity to work with and mentor nurses new to maternal-newborn and this experience sparked her interest in teaching. Dr. Aaberg teaches courses at SPU about maternal-newborn nursing and human sexuality. Her research area is the teaching of human sexuality.
Away from campus, Dr. Aaberg enjoys reading, cooking, taking her dogs for walks, and is a novice cheese maker.
